Singapore Changi's Airport temporary shuttle bus!

Singapore Changi Airport had recently made some amendments. Closing of Terminal 1 carpark and the introduction of Shuttle bus during these period of time.

The shuttle bus served between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 from 17 October to 21 October as a trail test,.
Location of Terminal 1 for shuttle bus is just beside Burger King and just walked out (there will be sign to guide)

Since it is free ride, why not try it? The bus interior is quite unique as compared to the public buses running outside,

SMRT new Double decker bus :E500 ENVIRO!

Recently SMRT rolled out Double Decker to their fleet of buses, And everybody was like WOW, I was not excluded also, i was fascinated by the beauty of the new bus too although HongKong had rolled out much earlier than in Singapore.
In my opinion, i feel the need of Double Decker buses which is also WAB to be in Singapore as it caters more for those who are physically challenged, so that they would have more choices in public transportation.

So people! Have you spotted the new SMRT Double Decker buses running? They are found currently on services 190. 972, 106, 969, 966 and 850E! Go and try them out, it is definitely a new experience! :)

Everchanging buses

Last post of today :)

Do you know that buses have a lifespan? For both SMRT and SBST buses, the lifespan is 17 years but if the inspection after 17 years old passed, the buses will get to enjoyed 2 more years of its life.

I had seen the transition from an era of Non- Air-con buses aka NAC buses to fully Air-Conditioned buses and from a Non-Wheelchair Accessible buses (non-WAB) to Wheelchair Accessible buses (WAB).
an example of non air-con bus from SBST

For SMRT wise,
100% low floor WAB articulated bus (SMRT)
Known as 'Mandy' to bus enthusiasts

Some challenges I faced...

Sadly, I do faced some challenges while having this hobby as an interest.
I was a hidden enthusiast for 8 years and recently just opened up my hobby to the public and friends :)

1) Many people feel i am weird (that includes my parents, lol)
2) Others might not understand why i like this hobby (me neither know the reasons)
3) Singapore is not really a place for this hobby (taking photographs sometimes will met securities)
4) Males dominant hobby (but i dont care, hahaha)
5) conflicts sadly (but every hobby will have this)
6) HARD TO FIND boyfriend :( (but i am attached hahahaha)
7) circles of female friends decrease.[but there are female friends of mine who support me :)]

I think whatever you do , just be yourself and everything will work out fine :)
It does not matter how you started or how you ended, matter most is how you treat yourself with dignity.

Come comment and share with me what difficulties you guys face. Happy to hear and to know too :)

My childhood services

Since I lived in Bedok as a child, naturally i adored the old Bedok Bus interchange, My favourite services are services 225 and 197. You might be thinking why service 197? service 197 contains a lot of memories as it shared my best and lovely memories with my parents.

I remembered every weekend, my parents will bring me to Parkway Parade by taking service 197. Being an interest in buses, i enjoyed my rides every weekend to Parkway Parade with my parents, Also, the bus captain of this service recognizes us and he will always give me sweets and sometimes i will stand beside the driver's cabin to watch the bus captain while he control the bus, Unfortunately i do not know his name nor whether is he still in SBS Transit now.

Short and sweet introduction of me

hello! :)
I'm a true blue Singapore Female Bus fan, known as Caroline, age 22. Wondering how did i get into this hobby? Well, me myself also do not have an answer to myself. Many people might find me weird but i find myself unique. :)

From young, i had an interest in buses(mostly) and other transportation that includes cars, aeroplanes, construction vehicles etc. I only knew from my father that from young, i only played with vehicles toys unlike dolls and teddy bears. well, i guessed i am really unique in this area.

Alright peeps! will update my life journey with my buses experiences in this blog, Stay tuned!
